Clear your schedule for two grand firework displays in the next week.
The first is this Monday, August 5 at Iwai beach and next is in Tateyama on Thursday, August 8.
Iwai Beach Fireworks Display
3,000 fireworks will be launched into the night sky!
WHEN: Monday, August 5, 2019, 7:40 p.m. – 8:20 p.m.
WHERE: Iwai Beach (岩井海岸)
*If weather is bad it will be postponed to Tuesday, August 6.
**Filming with and bringing drones are prohibited.
As a safety measure in case of an earthquake or other natural disaster, please bring a flashlight with you.
Part of the road along the beach will be restricted between 7:00 p.m. – 8:40 p.m.
Parking is limited. To reduce congestion please use public transportation if possible.
(The closest station is Iwai station where 15 minute walk from the beach. )
Tateyama Bay Fireworks Display
12,500 fireworks will go off in just 90 minutes!
Their specialty is a firework that bursts on the water like a flower.
There will also be a flamenco performance from the nationwide student flamenco league called “Fireworks and Flamenco.”
WHEN: Thursday, August 8, 2019, 7:15 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.
WHERE: Hojo Beach (北条海岸)
*Please keep in mind that if weather changes the event may be postponed.
*Part of the road along the beach will be restricted between 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
*Please use public transportation as there is no parking space provided by the event host.
(The closest station is Tateyama station just 5 minute walk from the beach. )
